Seidenstricker, Smith Named NCAC Players Of The Week

NCAC — Volleyball (Sept. 30, 2013)

Wittenberg sophomore Kara Seidenstricker (London, OH/Jonathan Alder) logged a record-setting performance during the Tigers’ perfect 3-0 week. In a 3-0 win over Rose-Hulman on Saturday, she served up nine aces to earn the school’s single game record in the 25-point era (2008-present) and landed herself second on the all-time single-match list. For the week, Seidenstricker hit .387 at a pace of 3.22 kills per set while also racking up 14 aces, 25 digs and five block assists.

Maggie Smith

NCAC — Women's Golf (Sept. 30, 2013)

Wittenberg sophomore Maggie Smith (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) played a vital role in leading the Tigers to a second-place tie at the highly competitive DePauw Small College Classic. Smith was named to the All-Tournament First-Team after finishing third overall in the individual standings with 154 strokes (77-77). The Tigers finished deadlocked in the team standings with DePauw, while Washington (MO) grabbed the team championship with 628 strokes (315-313).
