Women’s Lacrosse Falls in Hard-Fought Match Against Oberlin
SPRINGFIELD, OH – Wittenberg Women's Lacrosse continued North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) play at home against Oberlin, and after falling behind early the Tigers eventually found themselves on the short end of a 13-6 final score.
Oberlin came out strong to take a two-goal lead in the first quarter, and in the second quarter the Yeowomen pushed the lead to 6-3. Oberlin pulled away in the third and fourth quarters, scoring four in the third and 3 in the fourth holding Wittenberg to just three goals in the third for a 13-6 victory.
With the loss, Wittenberg falls to 4-7 overall and 0-2 in the NCAC, while Oberlin improves to 7-6 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
Four different players scored for Witt, including Hannah Peterson (Cedarville, OH / Cedarville), Grace Kennedy (Dublin, OH / Coffman), Aubrey Stager (Saline, MI / Saline), and Essence Wyse (Lewis Center, OH / Olentangy).

- Essence Wyse (Lewis Center, OH / Olentangy) had two shots, one on goal, one goal, one draw control, and two caused turnovers.
- Jarya Hassell (Bellbrook, OH / Bellbrook) had two shots, two assists, and one ground ball.
- Grace Kennedy (Dublin, OH / Coffman) had two shots, two on goal, on goal, and one caused turnover.
- Aubrey Stager (Saline, MI / Saline) had three shots, two on goal, one goal, five ground balls. She also led in draw controls with six.
- Sidney Sheridan (Columbus, OH / Bishop Hartley) led in saves with eight on the day.

- Wittenberg had six goals on the night, 17 shots, 11 on goal, 19 ground balls, 10 draw controls, and 22 caused turnovers. The Tigers were one-for-six in free-position shots.
