
DELAWARE, OH. – Wittenberg's women's lacrosse dropped a North Coast Athletic Conference battle on the road at Ohio Wesleyan (OWU), 16-2, Wednesday night, April 16, at Selby Stadium.
The Tigers started out strong scoring twice in the first to take a 2-1 lead over the Battling Bishops with 9:21 remaining. However, Ohio Wesleyan struck four more times in the first to take a 6-2 lead after one. After both teams were held scoreless in the second, OWU busted out for five goals in the third and five more in the final while holding Wittenberg scoreless to secure the victory.
With the loss, the Tigers fall to 4-8 overall and 0-3 in the NCAC, while OWU improves to 9-5 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
Team Leaders
- Hannah Peterson (Cedarville, OH / Cedarville) and Maren Raymond (Louisville, KY / Ballard) scored Wittenberg's only two goals.
- Jarya Hassell (Bellbrook, OH / Bellbrook) had an assist.
- Peterson led the team in ground balls and in draw controls with three each.
- Sidney Sheridan (Columbus, OH / Bishop Hartley) tallied 16 saves on the night.

- Totals for the Tigers included one assist, 19 shots, 12 on goal, 11 ground balls, eight draw controls, and four caused turnovers. They were one-for-eight in free-position shots.
- Ohio Wesleyan tallied seven assists, 48 shots, 34 on goal, 28 ground balls, 12 draw controls, and 15 caused turnovers. The Bishops were three-for-five in free-position shots.
