
ORLANDO, FLA. – Continuing their spring break trip, Wittenberg's men's tennis team took on Bethel University in Minnesota, at Oak Street Courts in Orlando, Florida, on Monday, March 10.
The two teams managed to finish up all the singles matches before rain and severe weather washed away all doubles competition. Bethel shut the Tigers out in singles, winning all six matches for the 6-0 victory.
With the loss, the Tigers fall to 0-7 on the season, while Bethel improves to 5-3.
The Tigers' women's match against Bethel was cancelled due to the rain.
Men's Singles vs. Bethel:
- Court 1: Ethan Libby (Loveland, OH / Loveland) lost 6-1, 6-1
- Court 2: Jacob Bennett (Pickerington, OH / Pickerington Central) lost 6-1, 6-0
- Court 3: Kyle Fout (Gahanna, OH / Gahanna Lincoln) lost 6-0, 6-1
- Court 4: Justin Hardie (Centerville, OH / Centerville) lost 6-2, 6-2
- Court 5: Andrew Garofoli (Springboro, OH / Springboro) lost 6-0, 6-1
- Court 6: Benjamin Glassman (Woodbridge, CT / Amity Regional) lost 6-0, 6-0
Next up, the Tigers will take on Central College at Florida Southern - Wynee Garden in Orlando, Florida, at 8 a.m. Thursday, March 13, as their spring break trip continues.
