Women's Golf Finishes Fifth At Win Palmer Cup
SEWICKLEY, PA - Wittenberg Women's Golf hit the road for some home cooking, and the Tigers turned in a fifth-place finish as the host team of the Win Palmer Cup at Allegheny Country Club in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. Wittenberg finished with a two-day team total of 662 strokes after completing a second round played in 35-40 mile-per-hour wind gusts and temperatures in the 40s.
Carnegie Mellon won the event with a 612, followed by Rhodes at 623, Denison at 625, Centre at 630, and Wittenberg.
The Tigers' individual leader was Izzy Selby (Cincinnati, OH / Seton), who finished in a tie for 14th place with a two-round total of 161. Addie Yarbrough (Dublin, OH / Jerome) was next for Wittenberg in 23rd with a score of 166.
Hillary Humbaugh (Haubstadt, IN / Gibson Southern) was next in 24th with a score of 168, Anna Sinclair (Brownsburg, IN / Brownsburg) placed 28th with a 170, Taylor Rausch (Mechanicsburg, OH / Mechanicsburg) finished 34th with a 178, Josie Adamson (Cincinnati, OH / Oak Hills) took 41st with a 192, Lexi Buffkin (Bellefontaine, OH / Bellefontaine) claimed 42nd with a 193, and Anna Longbrake (Canal Fulton, OH / Archbishop Hoban) in 46th with a 196.
