Tigers Look to Get Back on Track with Dominant Win
Hiram, OH-The Tigers traveled to Hiram to take on the Terriers and rebound from a loss in their last game at the hands of the Denison Big Red. The Tigers did just that, defeating the Terriers, 73-53, behind a team effort in which almost every player on the roster got to see the court. The win improves the Tigers' record to 12-6 (4-3 NCAC) on the season, while Hiram goes to an even 9-9 (2-5 NCAC).
In the first half, the Tigers took advantage of the three-point shot a few times throughout the first quarter and continued scoring in the second, while holding the Terriers to only nine total points in the second and went into halftime with a 44-21 lead.
In the second half, Wittenberg continued to hold on to their lead and Riane Burton (Houston, TX / Cypress Ranch) dropped eight points in the fourth quarter before the Tigers secured the 73-53 win for their 6th 20+ point win of the season.
Team Leaders
- Burton led the team in points with 21 and Jazmyn Gaines-Burns (Bladensburg, MD / Elizabeth Seton) was the only other Tiger in double figures with 11.
- Burton completed her double-double by logging 12 rebounds, while Gaines-Burns was once again in second with four of her own.
- Madi Barnett (Cincinnati, OH / Kings) paced the team with four assists off the bench, and Kelsey Ragan (Whitehouse, OH / Anthony Wayne) added three of her own.
- McKenna Baker (Brownsburg, IN / Bethesda Christian) also made an impact off the bench, logging three steals, while three other players had two each.

- Wittenberg led in shooting percentage from the field, 50.9% to 37.3% for Hiram.
- The Tigers also had a slight edge in rebounds, 35-33.
