
ADRIAN, MI - Wittenberg Men's Lacrosse hit the road for the first time in the 2025 season, and the Tigers got off to another slow start that led to a second consecutive loss, this time in the form of a 15-10 decision against host Adrian.
The Tigers actually took more shots in the game, 44-43, and Wittenberg won five more face-offs. However, the Bulldogs, who evened their record at 2-2, were more efficient with their offensive opportunities, converting 2-of-3 man-up chances and converting 15 of their 33 shots on goal.
Adrian scored the first two goals of the game in the first 4:08, and by halftime, the Bulldogs had expanded their advantage to 8-4. After Wittenberg pushed back in the third quarter, outscoring Adrian 4-3, the host team pulled away over the final 15 minutes by holding the Tigers scoreless over the final eight minutes while tacking on a pair of insurance tallies.
Ethan Pac (Greenwood, IN / Cathedral) led the way for Wittenberg offensively with four goals on eight shots, seven of which he directed on frame. Nicholas Langenderfer (Montgomery, OH / St. Xavier) added three goals and Blake Roller (New Albany, OH / St. Charles) contributed a pair to the attack. Dillon McKeigue (Olmsted Township, OH / St. Edward) dished out a game-high four assists for the Tigers, while Nathan Brown (Dublin, OH / Coffman) chipped in with one goal and two assists.
Adrian held a 36-30 advantage in ground balls in the game. Individually, Wittenberg was paced in that department by Charlie Frederick (Chagrin Falls, OH / Chagrin Falls) with six and Quentin Rudolph (Grand Rapids, MI / Forest Hills Central) with four.
In goal, Chase Singleton (Springboro, OH / Springboro) picked up the loss despite a solid performance. He was credited with 18 saves in the game.
Wittenberg is back on the road again next Saturday, March 8, as the Tigers will travel to Muskingum for a game slated to start at 2:30 p.m.
