ROCHESTER, NY – For the second-straight year, senior Meghan Frazier (Alliance, OH / Alliance) earned second-team All-America honors in the 400 meters at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, March 14, at Nazareth University's Golisano Training Center in Rochester, NY.
Frazier finished in 16th place overall in a time of 57.24. She ran in the fifth of five prelim races. The top eight runners overall advanced to the finals, which will take place on Saturday.
"I executed my race plan and felt good about the way I attacked the first 200," said Frazier, who ran the first half in a time of 26.53. "In my 2nd year with the 400 as my primary event, I feel I've gained sprint endurance and am excited to see what I can do in outdoor season."
Frazier was 17th on the performance list for the event with a time of 57.18 that she ran at the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championship meet on Saturday, March 1, at Oberlin College.
A year ago, Frazier finished 15th in the 400 meters in a time of 57.37. She entered the national meet seeded 12th in the event after qualifying with a time of 57.36. Her performance earned second-team All-America honors last year as well.
Frazier is one of two members of Wittenberg's track and field team to qualify for the event. Senior Taylor Weiss (Powell, Ohio / Olentangy Liberty) will compete in the high jump during day two of the Indoor Championships beginning at 3 p.m.
"Extremely proud of these two young ladies," said Head Coach Paris Hilliard. "They have put in a lot of hard work on and off the track to get to this stage. They both have had a great over season and I'm excited to see what they accomplish this outdoor season!"
