Oberlin, OH - Wittenberg Men's Basketball traveled to Oberlin in hopes of bouncing back from a heart-breaking two-point loss at the hands of Kenyon earlier in the week. Unfortunately, the Yeomen were able to collect the win by a score of 60-55 in another closely contested game. With the loss, Wittenberg falls to 8-15 (4-10 NCAC), while Oberlin surpasses the .500 mark on the season at 12-11 (4-10 NCAC).
The teams were very evenly matched, so much that they were tied at 27 after the first half, with neither team's lead growing larger than five points. In the second half, Oberlin jumped out to a quick five-point lead, but Wittenberg fought back to even up the score, and each time Oberlin would put themselves ahead, the Tigers seemed to have an answer. With just over five minutes remaining in the game, the Yeomen lead grew to eight, 56-48, and Wittenberg was unable to overcome the deficit, eventually falling 60-55.
