Men’s Tennis Falls to No. 5 Case Western, 7-0

ORLANDO, FLA. – Wittenberg men's tennis team went up against the tough No. 5 Case Western in a morning match on Sunday, March 9, and fell 7-0 at the hands of the Spartans at Lake Cane Tennis Center in Orlando, Florida.

Wittenberg drops to 0-5 on the season while the Spartans improve to 10-4. 

Case Western took all three doubles matches in scores of 6-2, 6-0, and 6-0 to claim the doubles point, then went on to sweep all the singles matches.

Singles vs. Case Western: 

  • Court 1: Ethan Libby  (Loveland, OH / Loveland) lost 6-1, 6-1
  • Court 2: Jacob Bennett  (Pickerington, OH / Pickerington Central) lost 6-0, 6-1
  • Court 3: Kyle Fout (Gahanna, OH / Gahanna Lincoln) lost 6-1, 6-1
  • Court 4: Justin Hardie (Centerville, OH / Centerville) lost 6-3, 6-1
  • Court 5: Andrew Garofoli (Springboro, OH / Springboro) lost 6-0, 6-2
  • Court 6: Benjamin Glassman (Woodbridge, CT / Amity Regional) lost 6-0, 6-0

Next up, the Tigers will take on Bethel, Minnesota, at Oak Street in Orlando, Florida, on Monday, March 10, at 11:30 a.m. as their spring break trip continues.
