Wittenberg Athletics Facilities: Hours of Operation

Facility Rental & Reservations

Wittenberg faculty, staff and students may schedule events or activities using the university's athletics facilities through 25Live, Wittenberg's online scheduling assistant. Health, Wellness & Athletics Hours of Operation

  • Monday-Thursday 8 a.m.-10 p.m. (Most accessible hours are from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. and 8 p.m.-10 p.m., depending on intercollegiate athletics contests and practices or other scheduled events)
  • Friday 8 a.m.-8 p.m. (Most accessible hours are from 8 a.m.–4 p.m., depending on intercollegiate athletics contests and practices or other scheduled events)
  • Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (Accessibility may vary, depending on intercollegiate athletics contests and practices or other scheduled events)
  • Sunday 12-8 p.m. (Accessibility may vary, depending on intercollegiate athletics contests and practices or other scheduled events)

HWA Check-In Procedures and Guidelines

  • All patrons must enter through the two main HWA Lobby doors on the right that say entrance. Clark County community members who would like to utilize the track in the Steemer or the Earl F. Morris Track at Wittenberg Stadium for personal exercise purposes are asked to pay an annual fee of $25.
  • Upon entering the HWA Lobby, patrons are asked to show their Wittenberg ID card to the main HWA Lobby desk.
  • All patrons are asked to exit the facility from the two far-right doors of the main entrance of the HWA Lobby.

Bates Strength Center

The Bates Strength Center is available to Wittenberg community members. Most accessible hours are 8 a.m.–4 p.m. (Monday thru Friday). Please be sure to wipe down your machines after usage. Please be sure to follow all health and safety rules that are posted.

Wittenberg community members who would like to utilize the Bates Strength Center should check the schedule attached to the email that is distributed each week. Availability is subject to change for a variety of reasons, so updated schedules are posted on the door of the Bates Strength Center daily.

Rosencrans Fitness Center

The Rosencrans Fitness Center is available to the Wittenberg Community. Most accessible hours are:

  • Monday-Thursday 8 a.m.–10 p.m.
  • Friday 8 a.m.–8 p.m.
  • Saturday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Sunday 12 p.m.-8 p.m.

Please be sure to wipe down your machines after usage. Please be sure to follow all health and safety rules that are posted.

HWA Natatorium

Open Swim Hours

  • Monday-Friday 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
  • Monday-Thursday 7 p.m.–9 p.m.

HWA Open Swim Check-In Procedure:

  • All patrons must enter through the two main HWA Lobby doors on the right that say entrance.
  • Upon entering the HWA Lobby, patrons are asked to show their Wittenberg ID card to the main HWA Lobby desk.
  • Prior to entering the pool deck, please rinse off in the shower.
  • Once swimmers finish conclude workouts, use the restrooms to change and rinse off and then will exit the pool deck from the locker rooms.
  • All patrons are asked to exit the facility from the two far-right doors of the main entrance of the HWA Lobby.

Please note that due to a lifeguard shortage, times may be subject to change without prior notice.

Pam Evans Smith Arena

The Arena is available to Wittenberg community members. Most accessible hours are:

  • Monday-Thursday 8 a.m.–10 p.m.
  • Friday 8 a.m.–8 p.m.
  • Saturday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Sunday 12 p.m.-8 p.m.

1929 Fieldhouse

The 1929 Fieldhouse is available to Wittenberg community members. Most accessible hours are:

  • Sunday 12 p.m.-8 p.m.

The Steemer

The track in The Steemer is available to Wittenberg community members. Clark County community members who would like to utilize the track in the Steemer or the Earl F. Morris Track at Wittenberg Stadium for personal exercise purposes are asked to pay an annual fee of $25. Most accessible hours are:

  • Monday-Thursday 8 a.m.–10 p.m.
  • Friday 8 a.m.–8 p.m.
  • Saturday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Sunday 12 p.m.-8 p.m.

Use of specialty equipment (pole vault pit, high jump pit, batting cages) may be available, but must be reserved by an official request of an individual, small group or team/organization. Requests must be submitted to Jonathon Levin at levinj@wittenberg.edu.

Edwards-Maurer Field & Earl F. Morris Track at Wittenberg Stadium

The Edwards-Maurer Field & Earl F. Morris Track at Wittenberg Stadium (outdoors facilities) are available to Wittenberg community members. Clark County community members who would like to utilize the track in the Steemer or the Earl F. Morris Track at Wittenberg Stadium for personal exercise purposes are asked to pay an annual fee of $25. Most accessible hours are:

  • Monday thru Friday 8 a.m.–dusk
  • Saturday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Sunday 12 p.m.-dusk

Albright Tennis Complex

The HWA Tennis Complex is open for recreational play. Animals are not allowed on the playing surface.
