SPRINGFIELD — Wittenberg placed 124 student-athletes on the 2023-24 North Coast Athletic Conference Honor Roll, the league announced on Friday.

Conference-wide, a total of 1,259 student-athletes earned placement on the list. The honorees were selected from all nine full-time NCAC institutions and four affiliate members. Each full-time institution had at least 50 student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll with an average of 136 per school.

To be honored, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore on an active roster in a sport sponsored by the conference and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Eligible honorees are submitted by each school.

This year's 1,259 student-athletes accounted for 1,391 total roster spots, which takes into consideration multi-sport student-athletes. 

Women's soccer student-athletes led the way for the first time in 11 years with 113 total honorees, while football posted the second-highest total with 108 after leading the league in honorees last year. Men's track and field was represented by 104 student-athletes for the third-most, which placed the sport in the top five for the 10th time in the 11 years since the honor was instituted in the 2012-13 academic year. Baseball had 98 honorees, which places the sport in the top five for the fourth consecutive year. Women's swimming and diving had 96 honorees, earning a top-five spot for the first time since the 2019-20 season.

The 2023-24 NCAC Academic Honor Roll class features 367 seniors, 440 juniors and 452 sophomores.

Wooster led the conference with 184 honorees for 2023-24, followed by DePauw with 172 and Kenyon and Oberlin with 164 each.

Wittenberg's 124 honorees are listed below. They include 53 sophomores, 37 juniors and 34 seniors. Categorized by sport, women's soccer leads the way with 19 honorees, followed by baseball and football with 11 each.
