Women's Soccer Places Three On OCSA All-Ohio Honor Roll
February 5, 2025
The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association announced its 2024 All-Ohio awards, and Wittenberg women's soccer placed three players on the All-Ohio honor roll.
- Senior forward Chamberlain Browning (Troy, OH / Troy) earned second-team All-Ohio recognition for the first time in her collegiate career. She enjoyed a breakout season in 2024 as she led Wittenberg with seven goals, including a pair of game-winners to earn first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) and third-team all-region honors, in addition to a spot on the 2024 NCAC All-Tournament Team.
- Senior midfielder Brooke Mullis (Lawrenceburg, IN / Taylor) earned second-team All-Ohio recognition for a second consecutive season after she equalled Browning for the team lead in points with 14 by virtue of her four goals and team-leading six assists. She made the All-NCAC list for a third time in 2024 to go along with first-team honors in 2023 and honorable mention recognition in 2021, and Mullis also was selected fourth-team all-region in 2024.
- Senior defender Grace Koperna (Macedonia, OH / Nordonia) earned third-team All-Ohio and first-team Academic All-Ohio honors, both for a second consecutive season. She has a grade point average of 3.74 while majoring in biology, and on the field, Koperna was outstanding at the all-important left back spot, regularly slowing up top opposing attackers to help Wittenberg's defense allow just 22 goals in 17 games. Offensively, Koperna finished with two goals and two assists. She earned second-team all-conference in 2024, adding to her first-team selection in 2023.
The Tigers finished fourth in the NCAC regular season standings with a 3-2-2 record. Wittenberg topped regular season champion Denison in the NCAC Tournament semifinals before falling in the championship game to host DePauw by a 2-1 score on Saturday, Nov. 9, despite outshooting the host Tigers 19-4. The Tigers posted an overall record of 6-5-5.
