Tiger Women's Lacrosse Celebrates Senior Day, Defeats Hiram 20-3
Wittenberg celebrated five seniors before Saturday's NCAC matchup in a senior day ceremony.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio—Wittenberg women's lacrosse thanked five seniors before Saturday's game in a senior day ceremony at Edwards-Maurer field. If thanking this group of seniors beforehand was not enough, the Tigers managed to do so over and over again during the NCAC matchup that followed against Hiram, as the Tigers downed the Terriers 20-3. Wittenberg's NCAC victory puts the team at a 10-3 mark overall in 2016, with a 4-2 record in NCAC play.

- The Tigers notched 13 first half goals on Saturday, as the game was a running-clock from the 12:46 mark on in the first half.
- Senior Olivia Lash (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) scored five goals for the third straight game, also adding three assists to push her point total to eight on the day.
- Fellow senior Carrie Kubasta (Medina, Ohio/Medina) recorded four points for the Tigers on Senior Day, netting three goals and adding one assist.
- Totalling ten points for the Tigers in the 20-3 win was junior Becca Joseph (Toledo, Ohio/St. Ursula) who dished out seven assists and netted three goals for the red and white.
- Senior Katie Reuter (Cleveland, Ohio/Hathaway Brown) collected two saves in goal for the Tigers, as her record improved to 8-1 in net in 2016.

- In the past three games, Lash has collected 18 points on 15 goals and three assist, while picking up six ground balls as well as causing three turnovers.
- Seven different Tigers found the back of the net on Saturday, coming off of 12 assists from four different Wittenberg players.
