MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Wittenberg University Women's Lacrosse Team struggled early and fell to another NCAC opponent Allegheny College 11-6. The Tigers fell to 4-6 on the season and 0-2 in conference play. 

The Tigers fell behind 6-1 in the first half, their lone goal being scored by juniorMelissa Jackson (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington). The Tigers made a push in the second half but were unable to catch up to the Gators despite a second half goal by Jackson and two goals apiece from Jenny Burns (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman) and Kari Thomas (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman). 

Wittenberg dominated statistically at face-offs but was outgunned by the Gators and out hustled the rest of the game. In goal for the Tigers was freshman Sarah Zane (Hilliard, Ohio/Davidson) who stopped 6 of the 22 shots she faced.
