Wittenberg finished in a tie for fourth in the NCAC regular season standings with Ohio Wesleyan and received the No. 4 seed by virtue of a victory over the Bishops during the regular season. The two teams meet for a third time today in the conference tournament, with the winner moving on to play second-seeded Kenyon in the semifinals Friday on the Ladies' home turf. Semifinal winners return to Kenyon for the championship match on Saturday.
Senior Kati Robbins (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) was named NCAC Player of the Week after breaking the Wittenberg and NCAC record for assists in a season. It was her second such honors this season.
Robbins has 39 assists on the season and also leads the conference in points with 81, while ranking fifth in goals (42). Sophomore Cara Romanowski (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) had four goals in a 21-5 loss at Wooster. She ranks third in the conference in goals (45) and is tied for fourth in points (51).
