AUBURNDALE, Fla. - After a 3-0 start to the 2013 season, the Wittenberg Tigers were unable to keep the momentum going with a 7-5 loss to Eastern Mennonite.

Sophomore Frank Sullivan (Milford, Ohio/Milford) made his first start as a Wittenberg Tiger, and he was charged with just one earned run. He scattered seven hits and walked three batters, but he was hampered even more by four wild pitches and two passed balls, in addition to an error that opened the door to four runs with two outs in the fourth inning.

After falling behind 5-0, the Tigers rallied for two runs in the sixth, one in the seventh and two more in the ninth. However, Wittenberg's ninth inning was cut short with the tying run at the plate.

Sophomore Zac Wilson (Eaton, Ohio/Eaton) had another outstanding game at the plate, finishing 4-for-5 with two runs scored. Sophomore Brandon Reaman (Dayton, Ohio/Northmont) added two hits and two runs batted in, while sophomore Mike Burgher (Birmingham, Mich./Seaholm) added a two-run base hit.
