Neumeyer, Turkovich post first-place finishes to lead Women's Outdoor Track and Field at Big Red Invitational

GRANVILLE — Junior Reese Neumeyer (Whitehouse, Ohio/Anthony Wayne) and senior Corin Turkovich (East Liverpool, Ohio/Beaver Local) posted first-place finishes to lead the Wittenberg women's outdoor track and field team at the Denison Big Red Invitational on Friday.

Wittenberg's Top Performers

  • Neumeyer won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.78 seconds. Freshman Haley Troy (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) was second in the event in 16.03 seconds.
  • Turkovich won the 3,000 meters in 11:05.12. This was her first race since January 2023 after being sidelined by two sets of stress fractures that prevented her from competing.
  • In addition to Troy in the 100 hurdles, the Tigers posted three more second-place finishes.
  • Sophomore Aidan Orth (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) was second in the discus with a mark of 39.84 meters, and sophomore Tiffany Hix (Prospect, Ohio/Elgin) was second in the pole vault with a mark of 3.45 meters.
  • Wittenberg had three of the top four finishers in the long jump. Freshman G'Niyah Brown (Dayton, Ohio/Wayne) was second with a mark of 5.10 meters, freshman Michaela Stroder (Springfield, Ohio/Springfield) was third with a mark of 4.98 meters, and freshman Brooke DeHart (Springfield, Ohio/Kenton Ridge) was fourth with a mark of 4.74 meters.
  • Sophomore Emma Doerman (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 11.37 meters, junior Megan Keys (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) was fourth in the 1,500 in 4:53.43, freshman Hallie Haines (Hillsboro, Ohio/Fairfield) was fourth in the 400 in 1:01.65, and freshman Morgan Hunter (Rockford, Ohio/Parkway) was fourth in the 100 in 13.09 seconds.
  • Orth placed fifth in the hammer throw with a mark of 42.51 meters, and sophomore Delaney Tackett (Waverly, Ohio/Waverly) was fifth in the 200 in 27.15 seconds.
  • Junior Kyngston Collins (Dayton, Ohio/Belmont) was sixth in the 400 in 1:02.45, and sophomore Abbey Danne (Johnstown, Ohio/Big Walnut) was sixth in the 200 in 27.24 seconds.
  • Sophomore Macy DeHart (Springfield, Ohio/Kenton Ridge) was seventh in the javelin with a mark of 25.61 meters, and freshman Alex Couch (Howard, Ohio/Mount Vernon) was seventh in the 1,500 in 5:03.56.
  • Doerman was eighth in the discus with a mark of 32.08 meters, and Brooke DeHart was eighth in the javelin with a mark of 20.42 meters.
