Frazier wins trio of titles, Williams breaks school record to lead Women's Track and Field to first place at NCAC Indoor Championships

GAMBIER — Junior Meghan Frazier (Alliance, Ohio/Alliance) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Sprinter/Hurdler of the Year after winning conference championships in the 60 meters, 200 meters and 4x400 meter relay to lead the Wittenberg women's track and field team to the team title following the second and final day of the NCAC Indoor Championships at Kenyon College on Saturday. This marks the Tigers' second consecutive indoor conference championship and third overall. Also on Saturday, junior Julissa Williams (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain) broke the school record in winning the conference title in the high jump, and the Wittenberg coaching staff of head coach Paris Hilliard and assistants Alexia Page-Boyd, Blaine Brokschmidt, Chris Marco and Josh Lynch were named the NCAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Coaching Staff of the Year.

She also joined sophomores Abbey Danne (Johnstown, Ohio/Big Walnut) and Tymeerah De'Armond (Springfield, Ohio/Springfield) and junior Victoria Pipinich (Fort Worth, Texas/All Saints Episcopal) in winning the 4x400 relay in 4:01.26. Frazier is now a six-time All-Conference performer indoors.
  • Frazier scored the third-most points overall as an individual at the meet.
  • Williams won the NCAC title in the high jump with a mark of 1.70 meters. That mark is tied for fifth nationally in NCAA Division III and broke the 41-year-old women's school record set previously by Sheila Simon in 1983.
  • Junior Haleigh Willison (Crooksville, Ohio/Crooksville) earned All-Conference status in the 60 and 200, placing third in each event. She ran a time of 7.91 seconds in the 60 and 26.32 seconds in the 200. She is now a five-time All-Conference performer.
  • Junior Zora Shakhan (Pickerington, Ohio/Central) earned All-NCAC honors with a second-place finish in the 60 meters with a time of 7.85 seconds. She also placed fifth in the 200 with a time of 26.75 seconds and is now a three-time All-NCAC honoree.
  • Willison, Shakhan, freshman Jenna Delp (Canton, Ohio/GlenOak) and junior Lindsey Magoteaux (Sidney, Ohio/Lehman Catholic) earned All-Conference recognition in the 4x200 relay with a second-place finish in 1:46.44. Magoteaux added a fifth-place finish in the 60 meters in 8.08 seconds and was seventh in the 200 in 27.03 seconds.
  • Junior Taylor Weiss (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty) was All-NCAC in the high jump, placing second with a mark of 1.55 meters. She placed sixth in the 60 meters with a time of 8.10 seconds.
  • Sophomore Aidan Orth (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) earned All-Conference honors in the shot put, placing third with a mark of 11.74 meters. She was all-Conference in the weight throw on Friday.
  • De'Armond finished fourth in the 400 in 1:00.77. Danne was sixth in 1:01.50.
  • Freshman Haley Troy (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) placed fifth in the 60 hurdles in 9.55 seconds.
  • In the triple jump, sophomore Tiffany Hix (Prospect, Ohio/Elgin) was fifth with a mark of 10.48 meters, and freshman G'Niyah Brown (Dayton, Ohio/Wayne) was sixth with a mark of 10.45 meters.
  • Junior Lainee Valentine (Marion, Ohio/River Valley) tied for sixth in the high jump with a mark of 1.40 meters.
  • Sophomore Emma Doerman (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) was sixth in the shot put with a mark of 10.75 meters, and sophomore Ziciah Gibson (Cambridge, Ohio/Cambridge) was seventh with a mark of 10.66 meters.
