Women Picked First, Men Second In NCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships

CLEVELAND, OH – The Wittenberg Track and Field teams are among the favorites in the 2025 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Pre-Indoor Championships Coaches Poll released Thursday, February 20. Wittenberg's women are picked to finish first for a third consecutive season, while the Tiger men are picked to finish second.
In the women's poll, Wittenberg claimed the top spot with eight first-place votes and 63 total points. DePauw was picked to finish second with one first-place vote and 53 points, followed by Ohio Wesleyan with 52 points. In the men's poll, Wabash was picked to finish first with five first-place votes and 76 total points, just barely ahead of the Tigers with three first-place votes and 75 points, and Denison with 58 points.
The championships are scheduled to take place Friday-Saturday, Feb. 28-Mar. 1, at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, after the combined events (heptathlon and pentathlon) take place Saturday-Sunday, February 22-23, also at Oberlin.
The Tigers have had an outstanding 2024-25 indoor season, with numerous school records broken for both the men and women. Heading into the championships, Wittenberg's women are ranked second in the Great Lakes Region, and the Tiger men are ranked seventh.
