Wittenberg University men's golf standout Jordan Millice, class of 2012 from Cable, Ohio, has been recognized for the combination of his athletic and academic accomplishments with second-team Capital One Academic All-America College Division honors.

By virtue of his 14th-place finish in the 2012 NCAA Division III Championship Tournament, Wittenberg University men’s golf standout David Wetterich, class of 2014 from Cincinnati, Ohio, has earned second-team PING All-America honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America.

It was a national tournament finish coveted by teams throughout the nation, and an achievement just four previous Wittenberg Tiger men's golf teams had ever exceeded.

Men's golf standout Jordan Millice has been recognized for the combination of his athletic and academic accomplishments with first-team Capital One Academic All-America College Division All-District IV honors for a second straight year.

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. — Considering where the Wittenberg men's golf team stood at the turn on Day 1 of the 2012 NCAA Division III Championships, it is nothing short of remarkable where the Tigers stand heading into the fourth and final round after shooting up the leaderboard from 14th to seventh on Day 3.

Their fingernails may be chewed down to the cuticles after a nerve-wracking second day at the NCAA Division III Championships, but the Wittenberg Tigers are among just 15 teams that will shoot for the title after making the cut by a single stroke.

After leading the Wittenberg Tigers to their third straight North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) championship and NCAA Division III Tournament appearance, Craig Osterbrock, class of 2013 from Wilmington, Ohio, and Jack Uecker, class of 2014 from Akron, Ohio, have earned PING All-Great Lakes Region honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America.

While it is true that a team cannot win a golf tournament with one good day, that same team can lose it with one bad day.

For the third straight year and the 19th time in program history, the Wittenberg University men's golf team has earned the opportunity to compete in an NCAA Tournament. The Tigers, ranked No. 20 nationally, will compete for the 2012 NCAA Division III title May 15-18 at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.

After capturing their third straight North Coast Athletic Conference title, the Wittenberg Tigers placed three players on the All-NCAC honor roll, led by Player of the Year Craig Osterbrock and Coach of the Year Jeff Roope.

For the third year in a row, the Wittenberg Tigers turned in a dominating performance en route to the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) championship.

After struggling to a fifth-place finish at their last tune-up event before the four-round, two-week North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championship Series, the Wittenberg men's golf team came on strong to win the opening two-round competition hosted by Allegheny.

The Wittenberg men and DePauw women emerged as favorites in the 2012 North Coast Athletic Conference men's and women's pre-championship golf polls, respectively, based on balloting from league coaches.

The stretch run of the 2011-12 season began for the Wittenberg men's golf team with a fifth-place finish in the Strimer Memorial Invitational, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at Oakhaven Golf Club.

Playing in a field stacked with many of the top teams in NCAA Division III and a host of NCAA Division II and NAIA scholarship programs, the Wittenberg Tigers made the cut and finished a respectable 13th in the final standings.
