Tiger Men's Basketball Picked Fourth In NCAC Preseason Poll

SPRINGFIELD, OH — Wittenberg Men's Basketball was picked to finish fourth in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) in the 2024-25 Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was released on Wednesday, October 30.
The Tigers received 45 points in the poll to finish behind Wooster, which received six of the possible nine first-place votes and a total of 78 points, Denison, which tallied one first-place vote and finished second with 68 points, and Wabash, which was picked third with two first-place votes and 63 points.
Wittenberg will be led in 2024-25 by first-year Head Coach Darren Hertz, who takes over a Tiger team that posted an 18-9 overall record in the 2023-24 season, including an 11-5 mark in the NCAC, good for a third-place finish in the regular season standings. The Tigers have four starters returning to the lineup in 2024-25, led by first-team All-NCAC standout Trey Killens.
The Tigers open the 2024-25 season with a home game against Alma at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 9. The NCAC portion of the schedule begin with a home game against Ohio Wesleyan at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 7.
