Men's Basketball Drops Tough NCAC Bout At DePauw

Greencastle, IN -- The Wittenberg Tiger Men's Basketball team dropped a hard-fought road contest to the Tigers of DePauw, 80-73. The two sides filled up the bucket in the first half, both shooting over 60 percent from the floor, the Tigers were tied, 36-36, at the break. Trey Killens led the Wittenberg scoring effort with 23 points, knocking down 6 of 9 from the floor, including 3 of 5 from beyond the arc and 8 of 9 from the foul line. Killens added three assists, three rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots to his total in 28 minutes of action.

Josh Tolliver and Brice Hill added double-digit points for the Wittenberg offense. Tolliver tallied 13 points, converting on 6 of 12 from the floor. Hill added 11 points, knocking down 4 of 8 from the floor, including 3 of 7 from beyond the arc. Levi Boettcher and Jeff Queen controlled the rebounding effort, grabbing four rebounds each.

Wittenberg finished the night, shooting 54 percent from the floor. The Tigers split the season series with the Tigers from DePauw, after taking the home slate, 60-50.

Wittenberg will return to action this Saturday, January 28, hosting the Big Red from Denison University. Tipoff is set for 3:00 p.m. from Pam Evans Smith Arena.
