Marietta, Ohio – In a battle between two D3hoops.com Top 25 opponents, the No. 7 Wittenberg men's basketball team fell on the road 84-74 to the No. 21 Pioneers of Marietta College. The Tigers were powered by Connor Seipel, logging his fourth double-double of the season with 24 points and 13 rebounds. The Columbus native finished the night 10 of 16 from the floor, dishing out two assists and tallying one block.
Game Breakdown
The Tigers opened the game on a 12-4 run, capping off their scoring spree with a 16-9 lead over the Pioneers. Wittenberg opened the game knocking down their first six shots from the field. Wittenberg would go on to extend their lead over Marietta 20-11, before the Pioneers came back to take the lead before the half 40-32.
