Circleville High School:
Melanie was a four-year varsity letter winner. She was named all-district in the  Ohio High School Central District. She is the recipient of the Ohio High School Athletic Award. Melanie was a member of her high school Cross Country team where she earned All-State honors. Academically she was a Presidential Scholar, a member of the National Honor Society, and was ranked in the top ten percent of her graduating class.

Wittenberg University:
Melanie is a fourth year varsity swimmer. She is a NCAC finalist in the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke. Melanie is also NCAA national qualifier in the 100 backstroke and is an Academic All-American. She is a Economics major and management minor.

Personal Information:
Born December 29, 1978 Melanie is the daughter of Kenneth and Mary Anne Edsall. Melanie has an older sister, Allison and a twin brother, Aaron, who is also a member of the Wittenberg Swimming Team. In her spare time Melanie enjoys skeet shooting and archery.
