GAMBIER — The Wittenberg women's lacrosse team fell 23-3 at Kenyon in North Coast Athletic Conference play on Wednesday.
The Basics
- Records: Wittenberg (6-6 overall, 0-2 NCAC), Kenyon (5-5 overall, 1-1 NCAC)

Stat Leaders
- Senior Jessica Flick (Lebanon, Ohio/Lebanon) led the Wittenberg offense with two goals.
- Sophomore Anna Roller (New Albany, Ohio/Bishop Watterson) also scored a goal for the Tigers and added a team-high two draw controls.
- Senior Zoe Chirumbolo McKee (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) and sophomore Haley Pitman (Liberty Township, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) led Wittenberg with three ground balls apiece.
- Sophomore Alyssa Burnside (Galloway, Ohio/Hilliard Bradley) led the Tigers in caused turnovers with two.
- In 30 minutes each in goal for the Tigers, junior Sidney Sheridan (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Hartley) recorded nine saves, and junior Gabrielle Weckerly (Delaware, Ohio/Hayes) added four saves.
- Kate Lengel led the Kenyon offense with nine points on six goals and three assists.
The Game
- The Owls led 8-0 at the end of the first quarter.
- Roller scored the Tigers' first goal of the game, finding the back of the net with 12:52 left in the second quarter, making the score 8-1.
- After two more goals from Kenyon, Flick scored for Wittenberg on a free position shot.
- Flick answered another Kenyon goal, scoring with 8:31 left in the second quarter to make the score 11-3.
- The Owls closed the second period on a 4-0 scoring run for a 15-3 halftime edge.
- The Owls outscored the Tigers 6-0 in the third quarter and 2-0 in the fourth.
- Kenyon finished with a 45-10 edge in shots and 23-13 advantage in ground balls.
Records & Milestones
- Wittenberg is now 18-34 all-time against Kenyon.
- Third-year head coach Becca Joseph, who played at Wittenberg from 2014-2017 and holds program records for career points (328) and assists (138) and ranks second all-time in goals (190), is now 13-32 at the helm of the Tigers.
- Flick has 162 career points on 138 goals and 24 assists. She is tied for seventh all-time at Wittenberg in goals and is 10th all-time in points. She has a team-high 62 points, 52 goals and 10 assists on the season. She has 26 career hat tricks.
- Roller has 35 goals and eight assists for 43 points this season. She has 59 career points on 50 goals and nine assists and has eight career hat tricks.
- Sheridan has 294 career saves, which ranks seventh all-time at Wittenberg. Weckerly has 196 career saves.
- McKee ranks sixth all-time at Wittenberg with 65 caused turnovers in her career.
