BETHANY, W.Va. — Senior Jessica Flick (Lebanon, Ohio/Lebanon) and sophomore Anna Roller (New Albany, Ohio/Bishop Watterson) combined for 11 goals to lead the Wittenberg women's lacrosse team to an 18-6 win at Bethany on Friday afternoon to close out its 2024 non-conference schedule.

Stat Leaders
- Flick led the Tigers with eight points in the game, recording a team-high six goals to go with two assists. She netted her ninth hat trick of the season.
- Roller added five goals in her sixth hat trick of the season and led the team with 10 draw controls.
- Sophomore Alyssa Burnside (Galloway, Ohio/Hilliard Bradley) posted her first career hat trick, recording three goals and one assist for four points.
- Freshman Essence Wyse (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy) scored two goals.
- Freshman Maddy Krasnow (Bexley, Ohio/Bexley) added one goal and two assists for three points.
- Sophomore Sophia Meek (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy Orange) netted one goal.

- Freshman Jorja Williams (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) played 45 minutes in goal for the Tigers and recorded six saves. Junior Sidney Sheridan (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Hartley) played 15 minutes in goal and recorded four saves.
- Abbie Carpenter led the Bethany offense with two goals.
The Game
- Wittenberg outscored Bethany 6-0 in the first quarter. Burnside opened the scoring with a goal with 11:40 left in the opening period, and Roller scored with 10:13 remaining. The Tigers got two goals from Flick and one each from Roller and Krasnow over the final 4:29 of the quarter.
- Essence Wyse opened the second-quarter scoring, putting the Tigers up 7-0 before the Bison got on the board with a goal with 11:32 left in the period. Bethany added a second consecutive goal with 5:55 left.
- The Tigers scored the next three goals, getting one each from Flick, Roller and Burnside, but the Bison scored with 54 seconds left in the quarter to get within 10-3 at halftime.
- Wittenberg outscored Bethany 6-3 in the third period to take a 16-6 edge into the fourth. The Tigers got two goals each from Roller and Flick and one apiece from Meek and Burnside.
- The Tigers capped the scoring with fourth-quarter goals from Essence Wyse and Flick.
- Wittenberg out-shot Bethany by a 37-20 margin and finished with a 28-17 edge in ground balls.
- Bethany committed 28 turnovers to Wittenberg's 16 but won 15 of the 27 draw controls.

- Sheridan has 262 career saves, which ranks ninth all-time at Wittenberg. Junior Gabrielle Weckerly (Delaware, Ohio/Hayes) has 192 career saves.
- Senior Zoe Chirumbolo McKee (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) is tied for seventh all-time at Wittenberg with 60 caused turnovers in her career.
