Women's Cross Country Takes Top 10 Finish At Inter-Regional Rumble

The Tigers traveled to Oberlin College to participate in the Inter-Regional Rumble. The Wittenberg Tigers have continued to show up and produce solid personal best and outcomes throughout their 2022 season. 

The Women's Team placed 9th out of 32 teams, having an overall team score of 278 points. Leading the way was Junior, Corin Turkovich. Turkovich finished 15th with a final time of 22:43.3 - the fourth fastest 6k time in school history. Finishing second for the Tigers, Freshmen Ella Webster, posting a time of 23:38.7, placing 58th overall. Webster has continued to be an asset for Wittenberg as she remains consistent with her performances on the course. Junior, Sydney Kholsa, finishes close behind Webster - placing 3rd for the team and 60th overall. Kholsa ran a time of 23:42.0. Like Turkovich and Webster, Kholsa continues to be consistently in Wittenberg's Top 3. Kholsa's consistency and ability to run her races smart has positively impacted the Tigers' and their overall team placement. Coming in 74th place overall, and 4th for the Tigers, Sophomore Megan Keys, running a time of 23:58.4. Keys made her mark during her first season as a Tiger last fall and she continues to show how her drive and passion on the course continues to show and produce solid results. In our 5th place spot for the Tigers, and overall placement of 77th, Emma Hawk. Hawk ran a 24:00.0 6k in Oberlin. Like Webster, Hawk is in her first season as a Tiger and has placed a key role in the Tigers Top 5 roster.

The Men's team placed 25th in Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble finishing with an overall team score of 635 points. Leading the Men, Sophomore Conor Kolka. Kolka placed 17th, running a time of 25:42.3. Kolka has been a key leader for the men's team as he stayed consistent in both his races and his training. Kolka will be a key contributor for Wittenberg as conference approaches. Peter Caine finished 2nd for the Tigers, placing 139th overall; racing a time of 27:29.8. Caine has been able to help lead the Tigers during his Junior season and will continue to make an impact as the Cross Country Season carries out. Next up for the men, Freshmen Lucas Eisele. Eisele placed 3rd for the Tigers and an overall placement of 158th, running a time of 27:46.7 for his 6k. Eisele has set the tone throughout his Freshmen season remaining in the Tigers Top 3 each competition weekend. Coming in 4th for the team, Sophomore Adam Arndt. Arndt ran a time of 28:17.8 placing 181st overall. Freshmen Jack Miller is up for the Tigers as he placed into the teams Top 5, running a time of 29:50.3. Miller had an overall finish of 266th.
