Tigers Race The Otterbein Invitational

Otterbein, Ohio – The Wittenberg University cross country teams took part in the Otterbein Invitational on Saturday morning. The Tigers finished the day in eighth place, amongst stiff competition like Oberlin, Kenyon, Otterbein and Ohio Wesleyan. Just a week away from the All-Ohio Invitational, Wittenberg battled illness and exam schedules while allowing new runners to experience their first collegiate race.  

TOP FIVE

  • Alexis Gray was the top finisher for the Wittenberg women's team, finishing in a time of 25:24.0 for a 28th place finish.
  • Crossing the line in a time of 26:53.3, Erika Bournival marked a 66th place finish for the Tigers.
  • Freshman Cymone Horton came in to stop the clock in a time of 27:46.3.
  • MacKenzie Freeman posted a time of 28:11.5 over the 6k course for an 88th place finish.
  • Ellie Teague rounded out the Wittenberg finishers, crossing the line in a time of 29:18.6.
