Tigers End Regular Season in Kenosha

Kenosha, WI - Wittenberg headed to Kenosha, WI for conference play this weekend with matches against Carthage,  Augustana, Austin, and Macalester. The Tigers took on Cartage in day one of action and picked up their first win on the weekend with a 15-8 score. They were unable to pick up any other wins on the weekend, falling 15-11 against Augustana, 22-6 against Austin, and 10-9 against Macalester.

Day One- In day one, the Red & White competed against the Fire Birds of Carthage College. Wittenberg was able to put 15 points on the board with a total of seven different Tigers scoring. Leading the way was the trio of Anaiah Lightner, Grace McLaughin, and Kierten Heverly with three goals each. Also getting on the board were Sierra Bui and Kailey Cordova with two goals each along with Savannah Cross and Evelyn Heil with one each. In goal for Wittenberg was Olivia Pena with five saves on the night.

Day Two- In day two the Tigers took on Augustana in their second meeting of the season. The Red & White fell in the match-up with the same score from previously in the season. Wittenberg was able to get on the board 11 times with goals from Savannah Cross (1), Anaiah Lightner (3), Grace McLaughin (2), Sierra Bui (2), Kierten Heverly (2), Tessa Crown (1). In goal for Wittenberg was Jordan Brough with 14 saves on the day.

Day Three- In day three of play the Tigers faced two more losses from Austin and Macalester. In game one against Austin the Red & White put up six goals. Grace McLaughin and Anaiah Lightner led the way with two goals each followed by Evelyn Heil and Tessa Crown with one each. Splitting time in goal, Olivia Pena and Jordan Brough tallied a combined 19 saves. Game two was a closer one-point battle against Macalester. Wittenberg was led once again by Anaiah Lightner with six goals. Followed by Grace McLaughin with two and Meghan Lythgoe with one. Pena tallied sixteen more saves for the Tigers in game two.
