Nick Umbdenstock was named assistant women’s volleyball coach at Wittenberg University in February 2024.

Umbdenstock arrived at Wittenberg from Defiance College, where he served as head women's volleyball coach for the 2022 and 2023 seasons after three seasons as an assistant coach for the Yellow Jackets.

Prior to his time at Defiance, Umbdenstock served as an assistant women's volleyball coach at Mount St. Joseph University from 2018 to 2019. Umbdestock also has experience coaching youth club volleyball with Ohio Premier Volleyball Club, serving as an assistant club director and head coach of multiple age groups.

A native of Fairborn, Ohio, Umbdenstock graduated from Miami University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and health while majoring in sports leadership and management with a focus in coaching.
