ORLANDO, Fla. — The Wittenberg women's tennis team opened its four-game spring break trip in Florida on Monday with an 8-1 win over Ursinus. The Tigers have now won five straight matches by an 8-1 score.

The Basics

  • Wittenberg is now 1-1 all-time against Ursinus.

The Match

  • Wittenberg opened by winning all three doubles courts.
  • Junior Caroline Sproule (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy Orange) and freshman Kylie Wilson (Powell, Olentangy Liberty) won 8-4 at No. 1 doubles, freshmen Sophia Pischalko (Granger, Ind./Penn) and Breanna Ball (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy) won 8-2 at No. 2 and freshmen Claire Loomis (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) and Lilly Hartman (Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay) won 8-2 at No. 3.
  • The Tigers closed out the match by winning five of the six singles courts.
  • Sproule won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1, Wilson won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2, Pischalko won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 4, Ball won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 5 and Hartman won 6-1, 6-4 at No. 6. Loomis fell 2-6, 2-6 at No. 3.
