Tiger Tennis Takes Two Wins On Homecoming

The Wittenberg Women's tennis team hosted Cedarville on for their Homecoming matchup at the Albright Tennis complex. The Tigers took down Cedarville 6-0, bumping their record to 2-0 against the Yellow Jackets this year.  Ashley Isaac and Caroline Sproule won their doubles match 8-5, while Paige Meyers and Sydney Khosla won in a tiebreak with a score of 8-7, 7-4. The Tigers doubles sweep was rounded off by Meera Virk and Sidney Purks, who won 8-6 over the Yellow Jackets. 

Isaac dominated her singles match, winning in straight set 6-0, 6-0, followed by Khosla who won in a tiebreak with a match score of 1-6, 6-2, 6-5. Meyers won her matchup against the Yellow Jackets 6-2, 6-2. The match was played to completion, as Virk was on her way to a win, ending 6-1, 4-4. 

The Women's Tennis team also played against Lourdes on Oct. 9. The Tigers won the match 8-1, but individual scores were not kept. 

The Women's tennis team will be in action on the 16th against the Thomas More Saints.
