Wittenberg Women's Tennis Suffers Road Loss At DePauw

Greencastle, IN – The Wittenberg women's tennis team traveled to Indiana over the weekend to take on the Tigers from DePauw. Wittenberg fell to DePauw with a total end score of 9-0. The first doubles competition was played by Sydney Kholsa and PJ Meyers, the pair lost with a close match of 8-7. The second doubles match was played by Claire Stechow and Kathleen McGuff, as the duo suffered the 8-2 loss. The third and final doubles competition featured Olivia Norbut and Aliza Johnson. The six singles matches that took place were competed by Kohlsa, Meyers, McGuff, Stechow, Norbut, and Kelsey Smith. Meyers took her singles competition to the, winning the first set, but fell in the end to DePauw's Erin Friedrich.

The Tigers fell to DePauw in the second match of the day with an end score of 7-2. The first doubles match was played by duo Khosla and Meyers, who picked up the first Wittenberg win of the day by way of an 8-7 victory. Stechow and McGuff also came out strong with a win, 8-6 on the second doubles court. Norbut and Johnson fell behind, losing 8-0 in the final doubles match of the day.
