SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — The Wittenberg Tigers won their fourth straight match, topping NAIA scholarship program Cedarville, 8-1.
The win moved Wittenberg to 15-3 on the 2010-11 season, while Cedarville is now 9-9.
A doubles sweep got the Tigers off and running. In the singles competition, Wittenberg added straight-set victories at five of the courts.
Double-winners included freshman Leah Ann Miller (Springfield, Ohio/Catholic Central) at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles, seniorJayne Miely (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) at No. 2 singles and No. 3 doubles, and senior Rachel Bundy (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) at No. 5 singles and No. 3 doubles.
The Tigers get back into North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) action on Saturday at Kenyon against the Ladies and the College of Wooster.
