HILTON HEAD, SC — The Wittenberg Tigers put the finishing touches on a busy, productive trip to Hilton Head Island with a 7-2 win over College Misericordia.
The Tigers opened with two wins on the three doubles courts, including an 8-6 victory at the No. 1 position by sophomoreAnne Beauch (North Canton, Ohio/Massillon Jackson) and senior Emily Nash (Hilliard, Ohio/Davidson). Wittenberg also won convincingly at No. 2 doubles as sophomoreMaggie Stewart (Bay Village, Ohio/Magnificat) and seniorSean Delaney (Powell, Ohio/Worthington Christian) picked up an 8-3 win.
Nash added a singles win at No. 3 as the Tigers took five of the six courts. The other four singles winners did not play doubles in the match.
