Tigers Cap Perfect Spring Break With Win Over Hood

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Head Coach Justin Stuckey could not have envisioned a much better week at Hilton Head than the one he received from his Tigers. A 5-0 week, capped off with a clean sweep, 9-0, of Hood College, rallied the women from under the .500 mark to a 7-3 record when the Tigers return to the Midwest to resume their regular season.

The latest encounter included dominant wins from freshmenKrish Bonebrake (Crawfordsville, Ind./North Montgomery)and Jackie Stevens (Columbus, Ohio/Watterson), Bonebrake in the fifth flight and Stevens one level up.

However, the match of the day came in the No. 1 flight, where senior Allison Earhart (Muncie, Ind./Yorktown) battled in a hard fought two-set match, winning 7-5, 6-4. She was one of several Tigers to put together a two-win morning on the hard courts.

A lengthy layover precedes a return to action on Tuesday, March 24, when the Tigers travel to Columbus, Ohio, to take on Ohio Dominican University at 1 p.m.
