DELAWARE, Ohio - The Wittenberg men's and women's swimming and diving teams continued the 2013-14 dual meet season with their second split decision in as many weeks.

Just as they did against Wooster in last week's season opener, the Tiger women were big winners against Ohio Wesleyan by a score of 144.5-82.5. The Tiger men, however, were beaten by OWU for the first time since 1997 by a score of 124-110.

A trio of women's swimmers won two individual races before teaming up to capture the top spot in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Sophomore Margaret White (Westfield, Ind./Westfield) was victorious in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle, sophomore Dani Lacy (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Collegiate School) added wins in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle, and senior Sarah Wilson (Centennial, Colo./Arapahoe) picked up blue ribbons in the 200-yard Individual Medley and the 100-yard backstroke.

White, Lacy and Wilson rounded out their meet with a successful swim in the 400-yard freestyle relay with freshman Emily Faas (Mason, Ohio/Mason).

Also finishing first for the Tiger women were freshman Amy Schulz (Waterloo, Ill./Waterloo) in the 100-yard butterfly, freshman Kate Gustafson (West Hartford, Conn./Conard) in the 3-meter diving event, and sophomore Madeline Kraft (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) in the 100-yard breaststroke.

For the Tiger men, the team win may not have been at hand, but four competitors were individual winners in the meet. Double-winners were junior Jared Crum (Galveston, Ind./Lewis Cass) in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle, junior James Dumstorf (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier) in the 200-yard Individual Medley and the 100-yard breaststroke, and sophomore Kevin Duhl (Westerville, Ohio/North) in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events.

In addition, sophomore Steve Stuthers (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic) touched the wall first in the 100-yard backstroke.
