Tigers Fall In Drmatic Fashion At DePauw

GREENCASTLE, Ind. - Coming off a home win against Ohio Wesleyan on Friday night, the Wittenberg Tigers went on the road to face perennial powerhouse DePauw. On the men's side, the Wittenberg Tigers fell to a 111-187 loss. The women's team suffered a heartbreaking loss 148-150 as the homestanding Tigers claimed first place in the final event of the evening, the medley relay, by just .13.

Freshman Neil Anderson continued to enjoy success early in his college career, taking home first-place finishes in the 1000 freestyle, 200 butterfly and 500 freestyle. Cody Nicely took home first-place finishes in the 1- and 3-meter diving events as he remained unbeaten in dual events so far in the 2006-07 season.

On the women's side, junior Kaitlin Clark took home a first-place finish in the 1000 freestyle, while junior diver Courtney Roth captured first in the 1-meter and a second in the 3-meter behind freshman teammate Lauren Stets. The Tigers' lone double-winner was freshman Katie Johnson, who continued to shine in the early-going of the 2006-07 season with victories in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events.

The men will return to action Friday, Nov. 10, at home against North Coast Athletic Conference rival Wabash at 7 p.m. The men's and women's teams will travel to Oberlin the next day.
