Women’s Soccer Earns NCAC Regular Season Co-Champions Title

Springfield, OH – Women's Soccer hosted Hiram College Saturday afternoon. The Tigers defeated the Terriers 2-0. Rachel Spencer opened up the scoreboard for Wittenberg in the 27th minute. Spencer's goal was assisted by Leah Rocchetta. In the first half the Tigers out shot the Terriers 9-4 and had 3 corner kicks.

The Tigers continued their momentum in the second half with an unassisted goal from Grace Koperna in the 52nd minute. The Tigers would outshoot Hiram 6-1 and have an additional 5 corner kicks for the match.

Lily Winkle started in goal for Wittenberg. Winkle saved all three shots she faced on goal. Half way through the second half Katie Wisniewski subbed into the game for Winkle to finish out the game for the Tigers. 

With the Tigers win the program has now been crowned Regular Season Conference Co-Champions. The team prepares to host Denison on Thursday November 2nd in the first round of the NCAC Soccer Tournament.
