Tigers Earn Team Academic Award For 2016-17 School Year

Springfield, Ohio – The Wittenberg University women's soccer team has once again been recognized for its outstanding collective work in the classroom. This award was previously given out by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) is now referred to as United Soccer Coaches.

The Tigers posted a 3.16 team grade point average (GPA) during the 2016-17 school year to earn the award for the eleventh time since the award was created in 1996. The United Soccer Coaches program honors men's and women's soccer teams that display excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.0 cumulative team GPA on a 4.0 scale. 

After taking down top-tier Oberlin in the NCAC home opener, the Tigers improved to 2-4-3 on the season and 1-1 in conference play in 2017. Wittenberg will be in action tomorrow, hosting Wooster at 1:30 PM for their #CodeRED game.
