Tigers Fall in Four Quarters

Springfield, OH- Wittenberg returned to Edwards-Maurer Field for a conference match-up with the Fighting Scots of Wooster. The Red & White had tough competition to Wooster, who has only recorded two losses on the year. Wittenberg tallied five goals during the game but fell with a 20-5 final score.

Highlights- Wittenberg was led by Grace Hehman and Jessica Flick with a total of five goals for Wittenberg. Hehman tallied a hat on the day with all three goals coming in the second quarter. Flick got Wittenberg on the board in the first quarter, unassisted, before coming back in the third quarter with her second goal of the game. Hehman captured her first goal of the day on a free position attempt and went back-to-back with assists from Kelly Mamula.

In goal for the Tigers was Sidney Sheridan. Sheridan saw 32 shots, saving 12 of those. Defensively, Wittenberg picked up 21 ground balls and caused eight Fighting Scots turnovers. Katie Wadds, currently stands at number two in the NCAA for caused turnovers per game with an average of 4.18 per game.
