Three Tigers Score in Loss to Polar Bears

Springfield, OH- The Tigers returned to action on Edwards-Maurer Field under the lights against the Polar Bears of Ohio Northern. In wet conditions the Tigers were unable to pick up a win over the Polar Bears, falling with a 14-6 score.

Highlights- The Tigers had their highest scoring period in the fourth quarter with three goals, two from Jessica Flick and one from Anna Roller. The Red & White had three different individuals score with two goals apiece. Alyssa Burnside put Wittenberg's first point on the board in the first quarter before coming back in the second with another goal. Roller tallied both of her goals on free position shots in the third and fourth quarter while Flick had one free position point and one unassisted goal.

In goal for the Tigers was Sidney Sheridan. Sheridan had a total of 13 saves, facing 27 shots on the day. Defensively, the Tigers went even with ONU picking up 29 ground balls. Wittenberg was led by Mya Wolfe with six ground balls while Hannah Feder caused five Ohio Northern turnovers.
