Flick Tabs Lone Goal in Loss to Capital

Springfield, OH- Wittenberg returned to Edwards-Maurer Field for a non-conference match-up against the Comets of Capital. The Tigers had tough competition against the undefeated Comets and were unable to break the winning streak, falling 20-1. The Tigers lone goal came from Jessica Flick to end the first quarter. Flick was able to connect with the back of the net on a free position shot and man-up opportunity.

Wittenberg led in saves on the day with both Weckerly and Sheridan being peppered with a total of 48 shots, with 38 being on goal. The Tigers tallied 13 saves in the first two quarters of play and another five in the final two quarters.

Wittenberg Leaders- The Tigers were led by Jessica Flick with the lone goal of the game. Flick and Mya Wolfe led the Red & White defensively with a combined six ground balls on the day. Splitting time in goal were Gabrielle Weckerly and Sidney Sheridan. Sheridan led the Tigers with 13 saves after facing 28 shots on goal.
