Wittenberg Ends Season On The Road

Wooster, OH- Wittenberg headed to Wooster, OH for their final game of the season against the Fighting Scots. The Tigers weren't able to keep up with the Fighting Scots and fell with a final score of 20-2. Both Tiger goals were scored by Katurah Emery in the first half. Emery's first goal of the game came from a free-position shot on a man-up opportunity and her second was unassisted to end the first half. Wittenberg went into the half down 8-2 and were unable to get through Wooster defense in the second half. Wooster was able to take the second half and end with game 20-2.

Katie Wadds led the Wittenberg in ground balls for the day with four, following her was Antavia Horne with three. In goal for the Tigers was senior Abby Sammons with 11 saves on the day and Joanna Stecz with three.

Season Highlights

Prior to today's match-up freshman, Jessica Flick was ranked in the top twenty for goals in the NCAC with 13 on the season. Katie Wadds led Wittenberg in draw controls for the season with a total of 21, followed by Antavia Horne with 19. Wadds also record a total of 17 caused turnovers and 35 ground balls. Wadds will move into the record book tied at number two for caused turnovers in a single game after recording six against Oberlin on April 21st. Wittenberg ends their season with a 0-10 record. Sammons is currently ranked number five in the NCAC for save percentage with an average of 44.9 on the season. Sammons will join the program leaders for career save percentage with a career percentage of 43.6.
