Wittenberg Trails DePauw

Greencastle, IN- Wittenberg headed to Greencastle, Indiana for a match-up against the Tigers of DePauw. In their second time facing DePauw, Wittenberg fell with a final score of 18-4.

Freshman, Kelly Mamula was able to put the first point on the board with an assist from Shannon Brown in the first minute of play. The Red & White weren't able to get through DePauw defense again until the 10:07 mark with an unassisted goal from Katie Wadds.to give the Tigers their second point of the game. Wittenberg trailed 12-2 to head into the half. Wittenberg was able to get on the board two more times in the second half with goals from Shannon Brown and Cecilia Critchfield, both unassisted. Wittenberg ended the game with a final score of 18-4.

In goal for the Tigers was Abby Sammons with 11 saves on 28 shots and Joanna Stecz with two saves on three shots. Wittenberg led stats in saves with a total of 13.

Up Next: The women will be back in action on April 21st on the road. They will face off against Oberlin at 4PM.
