Tiger’s Drop Big Red Series

Granville, OH- Wittenberg headed out to Granville, OH for their second match-up against the Denison Big Red. The Tigers were out-scored by the Big Red with a final score of 22-1 to leave Wittenberg with a 0-4 record for the 2021 season.

Denison was able to put 14 points on the board in the first half leaving the Tigers behind 14-0 heading into the half. Wittenberg was able to get their lone goal of the game in the second half with a man-up opportunity from Antavia Horne unassisted. Denison was able to put eight more points on the board in the second half and the Tigers fell 22-1.

Splitting time in goal for the Tigers were Joanna Stecz and Abby Sammons. Stecz had four saves on the day while Sammons had six.

Up Next: The Tigers will be back in action on April 6th to take on Ohio Wesleyan at home. Game time is set for 7PM. Only pre-registered spectators will be allowed attendance at the match-up at Edwards-Maurer Field. All fans will be able to watch the at wittenbergtigers.com
