Springfield, Ohio — Wittenberg University Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach Nicholle St. Pierre has announced that four student-athletes will join the Tiger program in August 2014.

The new recruits join a team that finished 14-3 overall and 8-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) a year ago. After winning the first league title in program history, Wittenberg advanced to the NCAC Tournament championship game for the second time in three years in 2014 but just missed out on a berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Wittenberg is expected to return 15 letterwinners to the roster in 2015. The Tigers are scheduled to open the 2015 campaign with a game against Berry on Feb. 28.

The new recruits are:

  • Caroline Giardina (Pickerington, Ohio/North)
  • Haley Dannemiller (Cleves, Ohio/Mother of Mercy)
  • Victoria Zysik (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg)
  • Rachael Yoho (New Albany, Ohio/New Albany)

“I am looking forward to welcoming this outstanding group of young women to the Wittenberg University community,” St. Pierre said. “I look forward to working with them to succeed both academically and athletically.”
