Tigers Fall To St. John Fisher To Cap Spring Break Trip Competition

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Wittenberg women's lacrosse team fell to 0-2 on the young season after a 16-4 Spring Break trip loss to St. John Fisher.

The Tigers fell behind 7-1 before rallying for the final two goals of the first half. After the two teams traded goals to open the final 30 minutes, St. John Fisher took complete control, scoring eight unanswered goals.

Offensively, the Tigers were paced by sophomore Alie Marousek (Pittsburgh, Pa./Portsmouth (NH)) with a goal and an assist. Four different Tigers found the back of the net in the game.

Also of note was the play of sophomore Mallory Skrobot (Dublin, Ohio/Watterson), who led the Tigers with three ground balls, and sophomore Francine Murzynski (Mentor, Ohio/Lake Catholic), who topped the team with three draw controls.

Wittenberg was outshot 36-14 in the game. Junior goalkeeper Katie Bondy (Westerville, Ohio/South) was credited with six saves.
