    The Wittenberg women's lacrosse team put the wraps on the 2004 season on Monday with a 13-6 home victory over Oberlin. It was the Tigers' second win of the season against eight defeats, and the team's second win in North Coast Athletic Conference action against four losses.

    CLEVELAND -- Wooster’s Beth Hemminger and Denison’s Laura Peace head an impressive list of stellar athletes named to the North Coast Athletic Conference’s 20th Anniversary women’s lacrosse team. Hemminger and Peace are two of the 12 former NCAC Players of the Year represented on the 17-person squad. They are also two of three four-time, first-team All-NCAC selections named.

    The Wittenberg women's lacrosse team won its first official game of the season on April 3 at home against Allegheny by an 8-4 score. The Tigers defeated Earlham on March 31, but the game does not count toward official statistics since the Quakers are a club organization in 2004.

    SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - Former Denison University lacrosse standout Katherine Haney has been named head women's lacrosse coach at Wittenberg University, Director of Athletics and Recreation Garnett Purnell announced.
